UPDATE! Conference Cancelled!

Unfortunately, due to multiple faculty cancellations, we have been forced to cancel the conference. This is something of a financial and logistical nightmare, so we ask your patience as we sort out all of the issues relating to it. Please remember that Rebecca and I are volunteers with day jobs and families and we have things coming at us from all sides right now. We will take care of everything as quickly as we can, but it will take some time.

Things for you to know:

1) All conference registration fees will be refunded back to your original payment method. Each registration has to be refunded individually, so this will take some time for us to sort through. If you do not see your refund on or after March 20, please contact mddewv@scbwi.org.

2) All in-person manuscript and dummy critiques are being converted to written only critiques. You will receive your critique by email within the next week. You will have an opportunity to ask 3 follow-up questions via email within 7 days of receiving your critique.

3) All in-person portfolio reviews have been cancelled and critique fees will be refunded along with your registration fees back to your original payment method.

4) Saturday night dinner fees will be refunded back to your original payment method.

5) If you had reserved a room at the Maritime Conference Center, please contact them ASAP at (410) 859-5700 to cancel.

6) Our planned keynote speaker, Linda Sue Park, has graciously agreed to provide signed bookplates so that anyone who orders her books through this link by March 17, 2020 may receive a signed copy: https://bookswithapast.com/home/stafflists_books/1122/5385

7) We hope to offer a series of webinars featuring our planned breakout presenters over the next several months. These will be separate events with separate registrations. More info to come.

Please let us know if you have any questions. But please also do not expect an immediate response, as we will be taking care of roughly a million and twelve things in the next few weeks. We’re sorry we won’t see you this weekend. Believe us, it’s not what we planned either.

Everybody wash your hands and be well.

Sincerely

Kathy MacMillan and Rebecca Evans
