About the webinar:

Fast-drafting is a skill that many writers will use at some point in their careers. It could for a deadline, NaNoWriMo, or for a final push to get a stubborn idea fully on the page. We’ll explore practical tips and exercises that writers can do to find their focus and become a fast-drafter. We’ll share and discuss roadblocks to fast-drafting and brainstorm solutions, including how to turn off that annoying internal editor.

About the presenter:

Erin Teagan is the author of Survivor Girl (Clarion), The Friendship Experiment (HMH), and the Luciana series, American Girl’s 2018 Girl of the Year. She has a master’s degree in science and worked in biochemistry labs for more than ten years before becoming a full-time writer. Erin is a big fan of NaNoWriMo, especially since her debut novel was her first NaNoWriMo manuscript. Since then, she has had to call on her fast-drafting skills for several projects, a skill she is thankful she took the time to develop. Erin lives in Virginia with her family, a puppy named Beaker, and a bunny that thinks he’s a cat.  CritiquingMiddle grade fiction, Early reader/chapter book fiction.
