In this webinar, Sue will discuss and show examples of many types of picture book structures to get you thinking about how you are structuring your own story and why. She’ll talk about how trying on a different structure for your story can enrich it, change it, and help you learn something about your main character or story arc, or solidify your original decision.

About the presenter:

Sue Fliess
Sue Fliess (“fleece”) is the author of over thirty children’s books including Mary Had a Little Lab, A Fairy Friend, Ninja Camp, How to Trap a Leprechaun, Little Red Rhyming Hood, and many Little Golden Books. Robots, Robots Everywhere! is now a bestselling Little Golden Book. Her background is in copywriting, public relations, art, and marketing, and her essays have appeared in O the Oprah Magazine, Huffington Post, Writer’s Digest, and more. Fliess has also written for The Walt Disney Company. Her picture books have received honors from the Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators, have been used in school curricula, museum educational programs, and have even been translated into French and Chinese. If you do not see a ticket option below for the live webinar, that means this option is sold out. You may still register to receive the recording.

A recording of the webinar will be available for 30 days after the live event. The recording will be for registered attendees only, so if you can’t make the live event, you can register to view the recording.

Access information for the live webinar will be sent ton the morning of the webinar and access information on the recording will be sent out the following day.

Those who select the registration option with critique must submit their picture book manuscripts by June 6, 2020. Detailed submission instructions will be sent out following the live webinar to those who register for this option. You do not need to submit anything now.
