About the webinar:
Kick off Summer Springboard for Illustrators 2022 by learning to use Procreate for illustration, from Sketch to Share and a few things in between. We’ll go over layer management, clipping masks, quick shadows, and highlights, plus a few tricks to improve and streamline your work. We’ll also cover how to share final files with your clients, and if we have time we might play with animation, too.
About the Presenter:
Olga Herrera is an author and illustrator of children’s books. She earned her BFA from the Ringling College of Art and Design with a major in Illustration, graduating with honors. She was the winner of the SCBWI Regional Conference logo competition for two consecutive years (MD/DE/WV 2019 & 2020) and picture book cohort mentor for the SCBWI (MD/DE/WV Region) Mentorship Program (January 2022-July 2022). She is also the co-founder and co-host of ILLOCHAT, a podcast about the journey into professional illustration.
Olga is bilingual in Spanish and English. She lives in the picturesque state of Maryland with her husband, two children, and too many pets. Her debut picture book, The Unwelcome Surprise, will be published in April 2023 by Feiwel & Friends, Macmillan.

Access information for the live webinar will be sent on the morning of the webinar and access information on the recording will be sent out the following day. The recording of the webinar will be available for 30 days after the live event. The recording will be for registered attendees only, so if you can’t make the live event, you can register to view the recording.
Those who select add-on critiques must submit their critique material by July 14, 2022. Detailed submission instructions will be sent out following the live webinar to those who register for this option. You do not need to submit anything now.
NOTE: There are a limited number of critiques available. Please do not sign up for coveted and limited critique slots if you are unable to make the deadlines outlined. We will be unable to issue refunds for missed deadlines.
