About the webinar:

Spring into your illustration with this craft-intensive webinar showcasing 3 techniques: mono printing, watercolor, and using Procreate. Each of the three presenters will share an on-screen or video demonstration of their working methods, followed by Q&A time. Whether your medium of choice is traditional, digital, or hybrid, learn tips that will take your illustration to the next level. Watch live or recorded and get inspired!


About the presenters:

Mono Prints – Traditional Media – Lulu Delacre: Bilingual author illustrator Lulu Delacre was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Her books have won the Pura Belpré Honor, the Orbis Pictus Honor, and made the New York Time Bestseller List. Her 42 titles include Arroz con Leche: Popular Songs and Rhymes from Latin America, in print for over 30 years, and Us in Progress: Short Stories About Young Latinos. She’s the illustrator of Turning Pages by Justice Sonia Sotomayor. The RIF Champion of Literacy author’s latest title is Luci Soars. Lulu has exhibited at the Carle Museum, the Zimmerli Museum, and the Cato Institute among other venues. Watercolor – Traditional Media – Rebecca Evans is an author/illustrator with a BA in illustration. She worked as a designer for nine years. Since returning to publishing, she has authored or illustrated twenty picture books and nine middle-grade readers. She speaks at schools, mentors with EB Lewis, is a CBA graduate and is Co-RA for her regional SCBWI. She lives in Maryland and enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. Procreate – Digital Media – Olga Herrera is a picture book Author and Illustrator.  She earned her bachelors of Fine Arts from the Ringling College of Art  and Design with a major in Illustration, graduating with honors in 2003. Her work has been displayed by the Society of Illustrators and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She has been a member of the SCBWI for over 10 years. Most of Olga’s work is done using a blend of traditional mediums and digital techniques. She is a Florida native who traded year round summer weather for the fun of experiencing every season.  She now lives in the beautiful state of Maryland with her husband, two children, two dogs, a bearded dragon and a bunch of fat goldfish.  Life is interesting and fun! More at:

If you do not see an option to register for the live webinar below, that means this ticket is sold out. You may still register to receive recording access. The recording of the webinar will be available for 30 days after the live event. The recording will be for registered attendees only, so if you can’t make the live event, you can register to view the recording.

Access information for the live webinar will be sent on the morning of the webinar and access information on the recording will be sent out the following day.

Those who select add-on critiques must submit their critique material by August 8, 2020. Detailed submission instructions will be sent out following the live webinar to those who register for this option. You do not need to submit anything now.
